On the occasion of the International Women's Day for Peace and Disarmament, which is commemorated every May 24, we have celebrated the second edition of the Women in Time of War campaign, a Wikisphere initiative that proposes reflect on the role of women in war conflicts throughout history.

In this edition of 2026, we again put the focus on how armed conflict disproportionately affects women and girls, claiming the need to incorporate their histories, resistances and contributions to the spaces of knowledge and collective memory: women who sustained life as nurses, caregivers or mothers, who participated as combatants, spies or correspondents, and also those who specifically suffered the consequences of violence, displacement and inequality in war contexts.

Thanks to this collaborative editing work, during the campaign they were published 65 articles in 2 languages (Spanish and Asturian).
