Editatona of women in Murcia #14M | [WikiAlboroque]
> Theme
Last Saturday, March 14, Murcia was once again a meeting point for free knowledge with a gender perspective with the Editatona organized by Wikisphere, in coordination with the Murcia City Council and subsidized by the Ministry of Culture under the project “Creating free knowledge communities with a feminist approach”.
The day that was held in the Cultural Center of Puente Tocinos from EnClave Culture continued the work that has been carried out since 2022 in the city, strengthening the local WikiAlboroque editing community and giving a new impetus to the node of Murcia. Each of the participants had the opportunity to create and publish their own article, which together add up to a total of 40 new biographies about Murcian women in different areas, thus contributing to making their contributions visible and reducing the gender gap in Wikipedia.

In addition, this project allows to connect the different nodes through the exchange of participants in the different activities, strengthening the network and shared learning. On this occasion he accompanied us Celia Hernandez, editor of Wikisphere with extensive experience and the activity was conducted by our colleague Liliana Alviárez. Special thanks to Marina Beltran, our local liaison for their support and coordination for WikiAlboroque to continue to exist.
