From Wikiesfera we promote an editing campaign on Wikipedia to contribute to the visibility of women in the performing arts. Between April 15 and 30, we worked collaboratively and asynchronously in the creation, improvement and translation of articles on dance, theatre and circus professionals, areas in which women continue to have limited representation within the free encyclopedia.

The campaign focused on the artists, performers, choreographers, directors, playwrights, techniques, scenographers and other creators of the performing arts whose trajectories are a fundamental part of history and the present, but which continue to be little visible in the digital spaces of knowledge.

In addition, April was a particularly significant month for this area, as it coincided with the International Dance Day and World Circus Day. We take advantage of this context to review which names are still missing and which stories need to be told, expanded and better documented.
