Circus Women's Campaign 2025
> Theme
In April 2025, since Wikisphere next to the outreach platform Miss Cirquera we launched a collaborative, virtual and asynchronous campaign to give greater visibility on Wikipedia to Circus Women. In the framework of the celebration of the World Circus Day and during 15 days, we wanted to tell their stories, recognize their trajectories and do justice to their presence in a discipline where they have always been, although they are rarely the protagonists of the stories. We take the opportunity to include works (paintings, documentaries...) dedicated to them.
Because the women of the circus have not only been acrobats, clowns or balancers. They have also directed companies, trained to new generations and sustained this art with his talent and creativity, on and off the track.
Thanks to the joint work of the participating editors we get translate 45 articles in 2 languages (Spanish and Asturian), thus expanding the information available about these women in the free encyclopedia and adding more content to the WikiProject Circus.
