Session 12: The satisfaction of uploading an article prepared by all

In this session of the group we were giving the last touches to the biography of Gaby Brimmer and we managed to create without problems (at least, for the moment) the article in Wikipedia in Spanish. Although this proposal began at the March editionathon on the occasion of Women's Day, it had not been completed. So, in the same work pad we were maturing the entrance, modeling the structure like other similar biographies and looking for references that were something solid to avoid being knocked down with that reason. > Biography wiki The...continue reading →

Session 11: University projects experiencing collaborative development

In the last session of the working group we had the opportunity to speak with Carmen Haro (@dessdoblada), journalist, researcher and professor at the University of Valladolid (@UVa_es). Session 10: Online meeting to continue with the tasks

We had the opportunity to remodel the text that had been initially created by working collaboratively and debating in the pad chat. This...continue reading →

Session 9: Editing of linguists. Proposal and approach

Last Tuesday, April 7th I attended during the morning the editathon #lingwiki organized by Manuel Alcántara (@inicios) at the Autonomous University of Madrid, where he teaches "Language Technologies" in the degree of "Modern Languages, Culture and Communication". Manuel told me that in his subject they analyze the changes that are taking place in communication as a result of new technologies, and taking it to the practical field a student proposed to make an editathon focused on linguistics, similar to one they do in the United States. So they organized an open call and focused it on underrepresentation...continue reading →
