Last Saturday, January 25, from Wikisphere and in coordination with the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (@mitecogob) of the Government of Spain we dedicate a day to make visible in Wikipedia to women and relevant projects in the field of energy and the environment through the creation and translation of different articles at the headquarters of the NGO Greenpeace, in Madrid.

This is the second editatone framed in a training project that we started developing from October 2024, with editatonas and training sessions for women from different organizations related to energy and the environment. The group, formed by about 20 people, is receiving training in the use of digital technologies to edit Wikipedia and thus contributing to create an accessible and diverse knowledge community.

> Expert

As in all the activities we organize, we always have an expert person who helps us put in context the editatona on which we are going to make the biographies. On this occasion, we have the anthropologist, agricultural technical engineer, professor and ecofeminist activist Yayo Herrero (@yayoherrerol). Referent in the field of sustainability, she has dedicated her career to research and dissemination of the intersections between the ecological crisis, social justice and feminism, and has been coordinator of Ecologists in Action and director of FUHEM.

In addition, to all the participants of the editatona, we gave them one of Yayo Herrero's booksThe Five Elements An Ecological Literacy Booklet, an essay addressing the ecosocial crisis caused by an unsustainable economic model, reflecting on our connection to water, air, land, fire and life. Proposes prioritising the sustainability of a dignified life with principles such as sufficiency, care and fair sharing, and invites activism to build a fair future in harmony with the planet.
