Editatone of women, memory and resistance #18N
> Theme
Last Monday, November 18, from Wikisphere and coinciding with the 20N, anniversary of the death of Francisco Franco, we dedicate a day to make visible in Wikipedia women who suffered persecution, imprisonment and exile during the dictatorship for defying the regime or defending their rights and freedoms. From 17:00, participants and organizers met in one of the rooms of the bookstore The Fabulous of Madrid to make visible the absence of content of this type in Wikipedia.

> Expert
As in all the activities we organize, we always have an expert person who helps us put in context the editatona on which we are going to make the biographies. On this occasion, we have the sociologist and political scientist Isabel Serrano Durán (@isabelsd99) a student of Andalusian identity and the struggle to vindicate the symbols, roots and referents of her land, who told us about the Invisibility of women during the Franco dictatorship, taking a tour of the violence against women in that period.
In addition, to all the participants of the editatona, we water the book of Isabel Serrano Durán, Walls of silence (2024), an essay that unravels How the Franco regime subjected women to systematic violence and silencing, trying to erase its historical and social relevance. Serrano vindicates the role of women, victims and survivors, and explores how memory and resistance emerge, breaking the "walls of silence" imposed by decades of repression.
