Last Saturday 9 May, from Wikisphere and in coordination with the Teatro de la Zarzuela (@teatrodelazarzuela) we dedicate a virtual day to make visible to relevant women in the history of zarzuela and lyrics on Wikipedia through the creation, translation and improvement of different articles.

This is the closing activity of a training project that we have been developing during the last months for teachers and students of music subjects from various Spanish universities: the University Autonomous Madrid 's (UAM), the University Complutense Madrid 's (UCM), the University of Castile-La Mancha (UCLM), the University of Granada (UGR), the International University of La Rioja (UNIR), the University of Oviedo (UNIOVI), the University of Salamanca (USAL) and the University of Alfonso X the Wise (UAX). The aim was to involve researchers in the development of biographies and train them in the use of digital technologies to edit Wikipedia and thus contribute to creating an accessible and diverse knowledge community.

With this new edition of the project Women of Zarzuela We have made a qualitative and quantitative leap compared to last year when we started the proposal. Greater engagement as well as a longer and more comprehensive training process has led us to a new way of approaching content creation on Wikipedia by expert people.
