Relevant lesbian campaign 2024
> Theme
In June, we celebrated the LGBT Pride Month, a global commemoration commemorating the Stonewall riots June 28, 1969, a turning point in the LGBT rights movement. In this framework, we launched this campaign from Wikisphere, where we focus on create, translate and improve Wikipedia articles on relevant lesbians. The list of proposed articles included a diversity of biographies, associations, meeting places, novels, films and key concepts among others.
With this campaign, which lasted 14 days, from 14 to 28 June, we seek not only to enrich the content in Spanish, but also to continue making visible women from a historically marginalized group and fostering greater recognition of and respect for diversity and inclusion.
The campaign was carried out in coordination with the Wikimedia LGBT+ group in Spanish with whom we habitually collaborate in the creation of content for the Wikiproject:LGBT. In addition, from Wikiesfera we also join in the dissemination of the contest that they organize during the month of June as part of the initiative Wiki Loves Pride in Spanish Wikipedia.
