Culture, art and heritage the roots that connect a community to its identity, history and diversity. At Wikiesfera, we collaborate with cultural institutions such as galleries, libraries, archives and museums (Galleries, Libraries, Archives, Museums, or GLAM) to preserve and disseminate this common legacy through Wikimedia projects. Initiatives such as those of Women of Zarzuela, The Landscape of Light o Category: Streets in Madrid have served to make visible both biographies, as well as works, or cultural heritage that have often been ignored or underrepresented, ensuring that they are part of shared knowledge and accessible to present and future generations.
In this line of work we develop and coordinate:
> [ Projects ]
We design and coordinate projects that increase the content of different topics in Wikipedia and other spaces of the Wikimedia ecosystem, focusing on cultural, artistic and heritage areas. To carry them out, collaboration with institutions and organizations committed to reducing the lack of content in different areas of knowledge is key. Together, we work to transform Wikipedia into a more diverse and representative space.

> [ Activities ]
We organize face-to-face or virtual edition marathons, They address gaps in Wikipedia in both content and engagement. Also we promote monthly online and asynchronous campaigns, which run for 15 days, and in which we encourage you to create or translate articles on a specific topic. These activities make it possible to expand content on Wikipedia autonomously and flexibly, encouraging sustained participation over time.
> [ Events ]
In addition to content production activities, we consider it necessary to participate in spaces that deal with aspects related to culture, art and heritage, both inside and outside the Wikimedia Movement. Therefore, since 2015 we have participated in meetings organized by different institutions, both as attendees and speakers.
