Last Saturday, June 15, from Wikiesfera we dedicated a day to make relevant Dominican women visible on Wikipedia by creating and translating different articles.

We carry out this activity in collaboration with the the InteRed Foundation (@InteRed_ongd), NGOs which, with the support of the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) promotes actions aimed at promoting the right of women to a life free of violence in the Dominican Republic.

> Expert

As in each editatona, we invite an expert in the subject that we are going to deal with. On this occasion, we have the Dominican psychotherapist Yania Concepción Vicente who told us about the importance of registering Dominican women on Wikipedia from a race, gender and class approach. With it we analyze how these dimensions affect the visibility and recognition of Dominican women within the encyclopedia, highlighting the need to develop a more inclusive and equitable perspective.
