Taking advantage of the Lesbian Visibility Day, which is held every 26 April, last Wednesday from 6 pm we dedicated a day from Wikiesfera to make visible on Wikipedia, by creating and translating articles, the biographies of lesbian women from different areas.

Although there are different designs, for the call of this editatona, we use the Labrys flag:

This flag is composed of several symbols of the lesbian community: on the one hand, the violet background refers to the Saphic women who used violets as an identifying symbol; the Black Triangle refers to the one used during the Nazi holocaust to identify women considered ‘asocial’; y the labrys It is a double-edged axe used by the Amazons in matriarchal societies in Europe and Asia, and represents the empowerment of women.

As in each editatona, we invite an expert in the subject that we are going to deal with. On this occasion, we have the specialist in Art and Feminism Encina Villanueva Lorenzana (@_Waslala_) who spoke to us about the situation of lesbian women and their double invisibility in the narrative of history.
