During the month of March 2025 Wikiesfera co-organized the campaign Feminist Time: time to edit Wikipedia, together with other 20 Wikimedia user organizations and groups from 12 Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking countries, in which women were the protagonists of open knowledge.

The aim of this campaign was make visible the relationship between gender and time when editing Wikipedia. Among the multiple gender gaps, women have less time for leisure and to engage in recreational activities or hobbies such as editing on Wikipedia. Specifically, on average it is estimated that Spanish women dedicate every day at leisure 1 hour and 37 minutes less than men, while the number of women who declare that they have no free time is 20% superior to that of men. It should also be mentioned that activities related to the Home and Care Relatives are the only ones in which women invest more time than men.

With this reflection as a starting point, the Feminist Time campaign sought to make visible the contributions in different fields of women, create and improve gender-responsive content on Wikipedia, and empowering more people to use digital tools to be able to build free knowledge together.
