Last Saturday, June 27, on the occasion of the International LGBT Pride Day, which takes place every 28 June, we dedicate a day to scientific to make his absence visible also in Wikipedia and share the need for that to change.

As in each editatona, we invite an expert in the subject that we are going to deal with. On this occasion, we have the presence of Paula del Río (@hayquehacerla) and Javier Armentia (@javierarmentia) of PRISMA, Association for Affective-Sexual and Gender Diversity in Science, Technology and Innovation, who told us about the invisibility of the LGBT collective in different contexts.

After five years of Wikiesfera's life, we had the bitter experience of having one of the articles we had created deleted. The deletion occurred within hours of the end of the activity when a librarian accepted the request for quick deletion of the biography of José Ignacio Pichardo. The argument given was that of Promotional or conflict of interest, although we use the same criteria of relevance that we have been using for years in this working group. Although we have not yet recovered the article, we believe that we will be able to recover it and, finally, publish it without conflicts. However, it is important to note that this type of actions perceived as abusive and unjustified undermine the morale of the volunteers who dedicate time and effort to build Wikipedia.

UPDATE 14/06/2021

After these months, we have republished (finally) the article of José Ignacio Pichardo It is now available for consultation. We are confident that there will be no further attempts to delete it.
