Last Friday, April 20, on the occasion of the Night of the Books, at the Digital Culture Centre Medialab Prado of Madrid was dedicated a night editatona to the authors of comics to make visible the absence of content related to them on Wikipedia. From 9:00 p.m., participants and organizers gathered in the Alameda 0 room of the center to talk about the current situation of women in the world of comics and illustration.

By having the support of the Oxfam Intermon Home Program, led by Zinnia Quirós (@zinniaqc), we were able to have a snack to regain strength and give the attendees books by Spanish comic authors. Titles, from Wonder Woman. Feminism as a superpower, Cernan encounters, Universal shipwreck, Busy Bitches, among others and all of Spanish authors, came from Errata Naturae, Atom Comics y The Comic Book Co.

As in each editatona, we invite an expert in the subject that we are going to deal with. On this occasion, we have the journalist, critic and researcher specialized in popular culture and feminism Elisa McCausland (@reinohueco), of the Collective of Comic Book Authors (AC) and author of the book Wonder Woman. Feminism as a superpower, which told us about the invisibility of women in the world of comics, despite the current upturn we are experiencing.
