> Theme
Last Saturday 17 May 2025, in coordination with Medialab Slaughterhouse (@medialabMM) in Madrid, We dedicate an editatona to publish on Wikipedia articles related to women muralists, an underrepresented topic in the free encyclopedia. Among the new and translated articles that we drafted during that morning, he highlighted having created several articles in relation to a pioneering movement in the field of muralism carried out by women, the Muralist Women of San Francisco. A group made up of Latin American Feminist Artists They painted several murals in San Francisco Bay (California, United States) during the 70s of the last century. Thanks to this activity, this group and its artists already have an article on Wikipedia in Spanish.
We carry out this activity in collaboration with the group Art+Feminism (@artandfem), an international community working to reduce information gaps on gender, feminism and the arts on the Internet, starting with Wikipedia.

As guests we have Amazon duo (@duoamazonas), a collective of Latin American muralists, formed in 2017 by Nati Andreoli y Lina Sanabria, which in their large-format work propose the intervention of public space from subtlety, tenderness and the everyday. They told us about the the history of muralism, an artistic movement originally embraced by male artists but in which they soon began, and continue to do so, to highlight many women. In addition, they showed us some fundamental works of their career as a collective which, together with the numerous questions of the group of editors present there, served to better understand the role of urban art and mural painting in contemporary culture.
The participants in the editatona they received the graphic novel as a gift, FEMINIST ART. Women who revolutionized art, with texts by Valentine Grande and illustrations by Eva Rossetti. A beautiful and well-thought-out book about some of the pioneers who revolutionized the art world from a feminist perspective.
