Last Wednesday, February 28, with the Official College of Telecommunications Engineers (@COIT_AEIT) we dedicate a face-to-face day to make visible to Women Engineers for make visible on Wikipedia, by creating and translating articles, the biographies of women engineers.

This activity is part of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, which is held every 11 February for “Achieving full and equal access to and participation in science for women and girls, in addition to achieving gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls”.

The United Nations General Assembly proclaimed this international day in 2015. The goal is that women and girls achieve access to, and full and equal participation in, the various spaces of science, where there is a large gender gap. Since that same year, Wikiesfera periodically carries out activities to meet and give visibility to scientists, technologists, engineers and mathematicians from Spain and other countries.
