Women's campaign in cinema 2026
> Theme
During the month of March 2026, for the second consecutive year, from Wikiesfera we organized a asynchronous campaign for make visible in Wikipedia the trajectory and contributions of women in the cinematographic arts, an industry in which they remain invisible. A topic of great interest to our community of editors.
In total, during the campaign they were published 78 articles in 2 languages (Spanish and Asturian). Among them, there are dozens of biographies of film pioneers, cinematographic works by or about women, as well as feminist film competitions.

This action was subsidised by the Ministry of Culture under the project “Creating free knowledge communities with a feminist approach”, which is also co-financed by the Wikimedia Foundation.
