In September 2024, as part of the commemoration of the International Day of Peace, we launched a special campaign dedicated to make the stories and contributions of Afghan women visible on Wikipedia.

For two weeks, the Wikisphere Feminist Community Worked Collectively to highlight the efforts and achievements of Afghan women in various fields, from politics and education to the defence of civil rights, publishing more than 100 articles in two different languages (Wikipedia in Spanish and in Asturian), thus increasing its representation in this global knowledge platform.

With this campaign we contribute once again to the construction of a more inclusive and diverse Wikipedia, promoting access to accurate and comprehensive information about women who have made a difference in their country and in the world.
