The story we know is riddled with silences and omissions, especially when it comes to collectives or events that don't fit into traditional narratives. Many stories have been erased, distorted or simply ignored. On Wikisphere We work to recover and document these memories, convinced that making forgotten stories visible is an act of historical justice that enriches collective knowledge.. In doing so, we contribute to building a more complete, diverse and just account of our past and present.
In this line of work we develop and coordinate:
> [ Projects ]
We design projects that rescue and spread stories that have been left out of official speeches. From the memory of women retaliated during Francoism to stories of resistance and invisible activism. We create the Wikiproject Women's Memory a collaborative space on Wikipedia to make these women visible and contextualize the historical moment. We work together with researchers, activists and editors to create, improve and translate articles that reconstruct their trajectories and contributions in various contexts through a intersectional look.

> [ Activities ]
We organize editatonas focused on historical memory. These activities, face-to-face and virtual, in which we work with researchers and activists become meeting spaces where to share sources, stories and learnings. In addition, we promote online and asynchronous campaigns that address significant facts for collective memory, encouraging the participation of new publishers interested in memory studies and feminisms.
> [ Events ]
We participate and collaborate in the organization of spaces for reflection on memory, feminism and free knowledge. These events allow us to articulate networks with other initiatives committed to the symbolic repair and visibility of silenced stories. We collaborate with social, cultural and academic entities such as Category: Herstorics, EUROM, the Spanish Association of Public History, the Fundació Solidaritat UB, the the Ángel Llorca Foundation or the HISMEDI History and Historical Memory Project from UC3M.
