In November 2019, the Circus Price Theatre the City of Madrid@CircoPrice) launched a line of work on memory whose objective is «To put in value and dialogue the intangible heritage that supposes the history of the circus in Spain and in Madrid, as well as the history of Circo Price until today». Coupled with that idea, he contacted Wikiesfera to coordinate a series of editathons with content linked to the Circus World. Since then, a series of activities have been developed that have helped to make visible the biographies of relevant artists from the circus world, as well as festivals and organizations.
In the second edition marathon held virtually in 2021 to commemorate the World Circus Day, Maria Folguera (disambiguation), writer, playwright and artistic director of the Teatro Circo Price, began the session with a talk about the current situation of the circus not only as part of the performing arts, but also from the point of view of research and dissemination in our language.

At the same time, Liliana Alviárez (@MissCirquera) joined the Wikisphere team, after attending the first activity on this topic and developed the WikiProject Circus as a workspace to reduce the knowledge gap about the circus world on the Spanish Wikipedia. He has also coordinated the editathons that have been developed together with the Teatro Circo Price, as well as other activities related to circus art.
In addition, the WikiProject Circus was selected along with some thirty projects from the international community of Wikimedians to participate in the poster session from Wikimania 2024, held in Katowice, Poland.
In 2025, the WikiProject Circus keeps curating more than 600 items which are published on the Spanish Wikipedia on circus or related topics. In addition, it has identified a listed with more than 460 articles to translate of other wikis, of which the 31% has already been translated; a listed with more than 260 items that do not exist, of which have already been created on the 12th%; and a list with more than 50 items to improve of which the 12% has already been improved by the community of collaborating editors.
