Wikiesfera, finalist of the European Digital Skills Awards 2025

We are finalists for this year's European Digital Skills Awards!

We are very happy to share with you great news! Wikisphere has been selected as one of the five finalist initiatives in the Women in ICT Careers category of the European Digital Skills Awards 2025, organised by the European Commission.

These awards recognise projects across Europe that boost digital skills and contribute to bridging the digital divide in different areas. In this edition they were presented 195 applications and were chosen 25 finalists divided into five categories: Cybersecurity Skills, Digital Upskilling, Inclusion in the Digital World, Digital Skills for Education y Women in ICT Careers.

Women in ICT Careers

Our category seeks to recognize efforts by increasing women's participation in technology, and we are particularly excited to share it with other very interesting initiatives in Portugal, Italy, Cyprus and Greece. Being finalists is already a recognition of the collective work of our community to Making women visible and promoting equity in digital knowledge through Wikipedia.

On 12 November, during the EU Skills Day, the winning initiatives of each category will be announced. Until then, we want to share this achievement with all the people who make Wikisphere possible: our editors, collaborators, institutional allies and all those who believe that another Internet, more free, inclusive and feminist, is possible. We'll keep you posted on what happens!

You can know all the finalist projects in the official website of the Digital Skills and Jobs Platform.
