I Editatona of Women in Energy and Environment #26O

We propose you to participate in an editatona to publish articles of relevant women in the field of energy and the environment in Wikipedia.

One editatone or editing marathon is an activity in which several people come together to create new content on Wikipedia, combating the gender gap of the free encyclopedia and making visible the absence of articles related to women. With this objective, from Wikisphere and in coordination with the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (@mitecogob) of the Government of Spain we propose you to participate in this editatona to publish on Wikipedia articles by relevant women in the field of energy and the environment.

This project marks the beginning of a collaboration between Wikiesfera and the Ministry for developing gender-sensitive environmental and energy content on Wikipedia. Through several editatonas and training sessions, a working group will be created composed of people from different organizations that will contribute to reducing the gender gap in these issues. The aim is to make women visible in sectors such as sustainability and energy, traditionally dominated by men, and thus enrich representation on Wikipedia.

In this event, we will have the presence of Alicia Puleo (@AliciaPuleo), philosopher and ecofeminist thinker. His work focuses on the intersection between feminism and ecology, promoting the idea that the fight for gender equality must go hand in hand with the defense of the environment.

Puleo is the author of several books and articles addressing issues such as environmental ethics and gender justice, and has contributed to the academic and social debate on gender equality. need for a sustainable and equitable approach to the relationship between humanity and nature.

This activity is aimed at anyone interested in make visible on Wikipedia the lives and contributions of women in history. So, If you want to take your first steps as a Wikipedian, this is your chance ⁇
