We propose you to participate in an editatona to publish articles by Dominican women on Wikipedia.

One editatone or editing marathon is an activity in which several people come together to create new content on Wikipedia, combating the gender gap of the free encyclopedia and making visible the absence of articles related to women. With this objective, from Wikiesfera we propose you to participate in a editatona to publish relevant Dominican women's articles on Wikipedia.

We carry out this activity in collaboration with the the InteRed Foundation (@InteRed_ong), NGOs which, with the support of the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) promotes actions aimed at promoting the right of women to a life free of violence in the Dominican Republic.

In this event, we will have the presence of the Dominican psychotherapist Yania Concepción Vicente that will tell us about the The importance of registering Dominican women on Wikipedia from a race, gender and class perspective. With it we will analyze how these dimensions affect the visibility and recognition of Dominican women within the encyclopedia, highlighting the need to develop a more inclusive and equitable perspective.
