From Wikisphere we launch a new virtual and asynchronous campaign dedicated to expanding the presence of works of art created by women on Wikipedia. Throughout the initiative we invite the community to create, translate and improve articles on works from different eras, disciplines and contexts, with the aim of giving greater visibility to a part of artistic production that still has an unequal representation in the free encyclopedia.
With this activity we want to focus on works and women's contributions to art history, improving the information available about his creations and favouring a more complete and diverse look at the artistic heritage. This edition will contribute to making these works more accessible and better represented in spaces of free knowledge.

The campaign is developed within the framework of the project “Creating free knowledge communities with a feminist approach”, subsidized by the Ministry of Culture of Spain and co-financed by the Wikimedia Foundation. This project seeks addressing the gender knowledge gap, expanding and consolidating our publishing community and keeping existing participation spaces active, while facilitating adding new people to Wikipedia editing and gives continuity to the work of the territorial nodes Wikisphere.
