From Wikisphere, in coordination with the LABoral Center for Art and Industrial Creation and subsidized by the Ministry Culture under the project “Creating free knowledge communities with a feminist approach”, we invite you to participate in the Editatona of Asturian artists.

One editatone or editing marathon is a collaborative activity to create and improve content on Wikipedia, reduce the gender gap and make visible women’s contributions to history, culture and society.

On this occasion, the day will be focused on the creation and translation of articles about Asturian artists, both in Spanish and Asturian, helping to expand their presence on Wikipedia and to recognise their work in the cultural field. During the session we will work both practical aspects of editing and the publication of content, in a space of collective learning and accompaniment.

This activity marks a milestone as it is the first editatona of Wikiesfera in Gijón and is part of the push to local publishing communities. It seeks to give continuity to the work initiated in the Asturian territory, reinforcing the local node of publishers WikiAsturianes, which took its first steps in February 2025, favouring the creation of an active network committed to free knowledge with a gender perspective.

On this occasion he will accompany us Natalia Alonso Arduengo (@natalia_alar), graduated in Art History from the University of Oviedo and independent professional cultural sector, specializing in contemporary art.

He has developed his career in close connection with the field of galleries and art fairs. For more than a decade he has been working in curating and producing exhibitions, art criticism, as well as in the conduct of conferences and moderation of round tables.

She is currently commercial director of Arteinformado, artistic director of the ArteOviedo fair and director of exhibition production of Collegium. In the field of performing arts, he is manager of EscenAsturias (Association of Performing Arts Companies of Asturias). Besides, it's President of the Professional Association of Cultural Managers of the Principality of Asturias.

In 2025 she was awarded the Manager Award with Best Career of the Women Watching Women Association, in recognition of her commitment to the visibility of women in art and her feminist perspective on cultural management.

This editatone is aimed at anyone interested in Making the lives and contributions of Asturian artists visible on Wikipedia. No prior knowledge required but yes you must bring your laptop.
