STEM Women's Editatone #8F 2025

We propose you to participate in an editatona to publish STEM women's articles on Wikipedia.

One editatone or editing marathon is an activity in which several people come together to create new content on Wikipedia, combating the gender gap of the free encyclopedia and making visible the absence of articles related to women. With this objective and participating as one of the events organized around the 11 February, International Day of Women and Girls in Science, from Wikisphere and in coordination with Medialab Slaughterhouse (@medialabmatadero) we propose you to participate in a editatona to publish biographies of STEM women on Wikipedia.

We will have the presence of the computer engineer Nerea Luis Mingueza (@nerealuis) PhD in artificial intelligence (AI) and co-founder of the T3chFest festival and known for her commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in the technology sector.

She has received several awards such as the ICT Innovators of the Cybervolunteers Foundation and, in 2019, she was selected among the Top 100 Women Leaders in Spain in the disclosure category. His work not only stands out in the academic and professional field, but also in technological dissemination, collaborating in programs such as Orbit Laika of La 2 and Special Corps on radio, bringing artificial intelligence closer to the general public and fostering more diverse and inclusive spaces in technology.

This activity is aimed at anyone interested in make visible on Wikipedia the lives and contributions of women in history. So, If you want to take your first steps as a Wikipedian, this is your chance

  • ✅ You like it search for information on the Internet
  • ✅ You know how to handle a word processor
  • Type with keyboard with ease

IMPORTANT: It is not necessary to have prior knowledge, only you need to bring your laptop
