One editatone or editing marathon is an activity in which several people come together to create new content on Wikipedia, combating the gender gap of the free encyclopedia and making visible the absence of articles related to women. With this objective and taking into account that at the end of November the International Day of Women Human Rights Defenders and 10 December Human Rights Day, from Wikisphere and in coordination with Medialab Slaughterhouse (@medialabmatadero) we propose you to participate in a editatona to publish biographies of women human rights defenders on Wikipedia.

We will have the presence of the Argentine journalist and writer Luciana Peker (@luciana.peker) specialized in gender and advocate for the right to abortion. Since March 2023, she has publicly denounced threats and harassment related to her journalistic work, especially for her coverage of the actress’ sexual abuse case.
