{"id":4734,"date":"2023-11-21T12:44:00","date_gmt":"2023-11-21T12:44:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wikiesfera.org\/?p=4734"},"modified":"2025-03-21T14:39:50","modified_gmt":"2025-03-21T14:39:50","slug":"cronica-del-wikiwomen-camp-2023-en-india","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.wikiesfera.org\/en\/2023\/11\/21\/cronica-del-wikiwomen-camp-2023-en-india\/","title":{"rendered":"WikiWomen Camp 2023 in India"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From October 19 to 22, the event was held in New Delhi (India) <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/meta.wikimedia.org\/wiki\/WikiWomenCamp_2023\/es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">WikiWomen Camp 2023<\/a> <\/strong>which brought together Wikimedians from various leading countries in their respective communities and <strong>committed to fighting the gender gap in the Wikimedia movement<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was the third time this event was held, after the first two that took place in Argentina (2012) and Mexico (2017). The motto of the 2023 edition was \"<strong>Map Up, Rise Up<\/strong>\", which we could translate as \"Map (or cartography) and get up\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The programme consisted of two strands of work: one focused on the <strong>Movement Strategy <\/strong>and the other in the <strong>training of organisers <\/strong>present and future of the movement. In the latter, our Wikisphere partner <strong>Isa Zapico was invited along with Tochi Precious and Imelda Brazal to share their experience in organizing campaigns<\/strong>.
