{"id":4420,"date":"2023-08-24T16:47:31","date_gmt":"2023-08-24T16:47:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.wikiesfera.org\/?p=4420"},"modified":"2023-09-04T15:33:07","modified_gmt":"2023-09-04T15:33:07","slug":"jornadas-carcel-de-mujeres-de-ventas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.wikiesfera.org\/en\/2023\/08\/24\/jornadas-carcel-de-mujeres-de-ventas\/","title":{"rendered":"Conference \"Sales Women's Prison\""},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In November 2022, Wikiesfera participated in the meeting&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/live\/Hlu6QEn12js?feature=share&amp;t=1997\" target=\"_blank\"><em><strong>Sales Jail: toast to memory<\/strong><\/em><\/a>&nbsp;that organized the&nbsp;<strong>Rosa Luxemburg Foundation<\/strong> (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Rosalux_ES_PT\" target=\"_blank\">@Rosalux_EN_PT<\/a>) with the historian <strong>Fernando Hern\u00e1ndez Holgado<\/strong> the Ateneo La Maliciosa in Madrid (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AteneoMaliciosa\" target=\"_blank\">@AteneoMaliciosa<\/a>). This activity aimed to present the website&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.carceldeventas.org\/\">www.carceldeventas.org<\/a>&nbsp;as a virtual \"place of memory\" to spread the memory of the Republican prisoners who were detained in the <strong>Madrid Sales Prison, the most populous female prison in Spain during the 40s of the 20th century<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n<p><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Hlu6QEn12js?si=nwk8ZZLPxezUIA2n\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n\n\n<p>From that first meeting and seeing the interest aroused, the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rosalux.eu\/es\/topic\/1077.eventos.html?id=1313\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.rosalux.eu\/es\/topic\/1077.eventos.html?id=1313\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">First Days of Public History on the Women's Prisons of Francoism<\/a><\/strong>, with a focus on the flagship <strong>Madrid Sales Prison (1931-1969)<\/strong>, the most populous women's prison during the Franco dictatorship. These days have a triple purpose, which reflects our <strong>Wikiesfera's commitment to education, historical memory and the dissemination of knowledge<\/strong>: Lectures and plenary tables will be offered, students and the general public will be trained in research techniques with documentary sources, and activists in history and public memory will be trained through practical workshops and historical-memorial tours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The meeting, which will take place between the days <strong>20-23 September 2023<\/strong> in the <strong>La Corrala Cultural Center of Madrid<\/strong>, is organised by the&nbsp;<strong>Rosa Luxemburg Foundation<\/strong> (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Rosalux_ES_PT\" target=\"_blank\">@Rosalux_EN_PT<\/a>), in collaboration with&nbsp;<strong>EUROM<\/strong>&nbsp;(<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/euromemories\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/euromemories\" target=\"_blank\">@euromemories<\/a>) and the <strong>Spanish Association of Public History<\/strong> (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/historiapublik\/\" target=\"_blank\">@historiapublik<\/a>), and the participation of <strong>Category: Herstorics<\/strong> (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/herstoricas\/\" target=\"_blank\">@herstoricas<\/a>), the <strong>Fundaci\u00f3 Solidaritat UB<\/strong> (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/solidaritatub\" target=\"_blank\">@solidaritatub<\/a>), the <strong>the \u00c1ngel Llorca Foundation<\/strong> (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Angel_Llorca\" target=\"_blank\">@Angel_Llorca<\/a>), on <strong>HISMEDI History and Historical Memory Project<\/strong> the UC3M (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Hismedi\" target=\"_blank\">@Hismedi<\/a>) and <strong>Wikisphere<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 id=\"editaton-carcel-de-ventas-22s\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Editat\u00f3n Sales Jail #22S<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>Within the framework of the days, <strong>Wikisphere will coordinate a <em>editathon<\/em><\/strong>, a <strong>editing marathon<\/strong>, that is, an activity in which several people come together to create new content on Wikipedia, fighting the content gaps of the free encyclopedia and making visible the absence of articles related to different topics. On this occasion, we want to make visible in Wikipedia <strong>articles related to the Sales and Historical Memory Prison: biographies, organizations, literary works...<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This activity is aimed at anyone interested in <strong>make visible in Wikipedia elements related to Historical Memory<\/strong> from Spain.
