Since July 2021, Madrid is part of the UNESCO World Heritage List<\/strong>, which lists sites of exceptional universal value. In this way, the Paseo del Prado and the Buen Retiro<\/strong> are in the category of Cultural Landscape and with the particularity of being in an extraordinary urban environment where culture, science and nature coexist since the mid-16th century. This Landscape of Light<\/a> is the first good to hold such a distinction in the city of Madrid, and the fifth in the Community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To make it easier for everyone to know the elements of Landscape of Light<\/strong><\/a> and that can be consulted on Wikipedia (buildings, flora, biographies, works of art ...), from Wikisphere<\/a> and in coordination with the World Heritage Service of the Directorate-General for Cultural Heritage<\/strong>, within the Area of Government of Culture, Tourism and Sport of the City of Madrid, a series of training activities will be organized in the coming months, following the process started in 2020<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
