This year, Carmen taught "Participatory Journalism on the Net" with third year students of Journalism, and wanted to give a return to the approach of the optional subject.

What Carmen did was involve the 40 students of the class in the process of development of the subject. He first asked them to think about a project individually based on the parameters used in the open calls for proposals. Medialab-Prado (@medialabprado): what they wanted to do, how they were going to do it and what profile of collaborators they would need; and then he was introduced in five minutes to the rest of his teammates.

Once the projects have been submitted and through a participatory dynamics, left deciding jointly which were the most viable and the most interesting initiatives. The objective was to "open" that proposal so that the authorship disappeared, so that the comrades who came together did so out of interest and not only out of friendship. Finally, the students were grouped around six projects, They were the ones who set out.

But Carmen also wanted to add an element related to Wikipedia to each project. He met at Medialab with Patricia Horrillo (@PatriHorrillo) and talked about the possibilities that could be in each proposal. Thus, the students not only approached a creative work linked to communication but they had to register certain information on Wikipedia pages (existing but with little content or directly new) related to the theme of their project.

> Projects and their contributions to Wikipedia

>> 1.
