From Wikisphere<\/strong>, in coordination with the Taranc\u00f3n Municipal Public Library \u2013 Luis Rius<\/strong>, belonging to the Network of Public Libraries of Castilla-La Mancha and subsidized by the Ministry of Culture <\/strong>under the project \u201cCreating free knowledge communities with a feminist approach\u201d<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, we invite you to participate in the Editatona of La Mancha writers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One editatone<\/strong> It is a collaborative activity to create and improve content on Wikipedia, reduce the gender gap and make visible the contributions of women in history, culture, science and society.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

In the framework of the celebrations for the Library Day<\/strong>, which is held every year on 24 October, this edition will be dedicated to improve the representation on Wikipedia of women linked to the letters and written culture of Castilla-La Mancha<\/strong>. We will work on the creation and improvement of biographies of writers and librarians, as well as articles on literary works written by women, female characters of La Mancha literature, libraries and other content related to the bibliographic and cultural heritage of the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the session we will learn the basics of editing on Wikipedia and we will work collaboratively<\/strong> to create, expand and translate articles, helping to make knowledge about these women and their legacy more accessible and visible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This activity is part of the accompaniment we are doing to <\/strong>consolidating sustainable and autonomous territorial nodes; and contribute to the creation of new communities <\/strong>committed to free knowledge with a gender perspective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This editatone is aimed at anyone interested in Making Women's Lives and Contributions Visible on Wikipedia<\/strong>. No prior knowledge required but yes you must bring your laptop<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
