One editatone<\/em><\/strong> The editing marathon is an activity in which several people come together to create new content on Wikipedia, reduce the gender gap of the free encyclopedia and make visible the absence of content about women and their historical and cultural contributions. To this end, from Wikisphere, in coordination with Medialab Slaughterhouse<\/a><\/strong> (@medialabmatadero<\/a>)<\/strong>, we invite you to participate in a editatone dedicated to<\/strong> Baroque, mystical and sadistic women. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the framework of the celebration of the International LGBT Pride Day<\/a><\/strong>, we propose an editatona focused on women of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries<\/strong>, especially those who were simultaneously mystical and saphic, nuns and lesbians<\/strong>. Stories little known but undoubtedly relevant to our history and genealogy and whose visibility links with one of the objectives we have as Wikisphere: improve the way lesbians and their relationships are displayed on Wikipedia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This editatone proposes recover and make these stories visible on Wikipedia<\/strong>, creating, translating and improving articles about these women and their cultural context, incorporating those who, although they are protagonists of their time, today are still absent from free knowledge, or their way of being present in it is biased. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

This activity is organized within the framework of the international campaign Wiki Loves Pride<\/a><\/strong>, driven by Wikimedia LGBT<\/strong><\/a> (@wmlgbt.org<\/a>), a group of users who support the LGBT+ community and represent LGBT+ content<\/strong> in Wikimedia projects and with whom we regularly collaborate in the creation of content for the Wikiproject:LGBT<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

A delight of conversation in each podcast in which, with a feminist perspective, look\u00a0queer<\/em>\u00a0and class consciousness, propose an intimate and close approach to historical figures as well known as Teresa of Jesus<\/a>, or not so much, as some nuns of the Baroque among whose archives dive looking for the personal, the everyday and<\/strong>, when it is, because it is always when you look closely, also the Lesbian<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together they have written\u00a0Instruction of novices. Lives of the Baroque Convent<\/a><\/em><\/strong> to guide your present (Blackie Books, 2026), with the conviction that \u201ceverything that is happening to you has already happened to someone (probably a nun) in the 16th and 17th centuries\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
