At the beginning of March we received a news that makes us especially excited: our initiative has been selected and published as good practice under the European project WIDCON<\/a><\/strong> (Connecting Women in Digital). This recognition places Wikisphere as an example of work in the field of gender-responsive digital skills development<\/strong>, and highlights a model that we have been building collectively since 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The token published<\/strong><\/a> takes the approach of Wikisphere as a collaborative learning space around Wikipedia, aimed at reducing the gender gap in digital environments<\/strong>. It highlights both our lines of work (training, editing, content generation and community building) and the impact achieved in these years, with thousands of participants and articles created, as well as a growing network of collaborations with public, cultural and academic institutions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Women in Digital Champion<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This recognition is also accompanied by a badge such as \u201cWomen in Digital Champion\u201d<\/strong>, which reinforces the European dimension of our work and opens up new opportunities for exchange with other initiatives. Among them, the possibility of participating in meetings, forums and future spaces for collaboration with projects that, from different contexts, share a common objective: to move towards a more just, inclusive and diverse digital ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
