{"id":10011,"date":"2025-10-13T10:42:50","date_gmt":"2025-10-13T10:42:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.wikiesfera.org\/?p=10011"},"modified":"2025-10-31T10:44:13","modified_gmt":"2025-10-31T10:44:13","slug":"falemos-de-ciencia-en-igualdade-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.wikiesfera.org\/en\/2025\/10\/13\/falemos-de-ciencia-en-igualdade-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Lack of science in equality 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>On 10 October 2025, <strong>Wikisphere<\/strong>, together with our colleagues from <strong>Wikimorada and Wikieditoras LX<\/strong>, was part of the program of the<strong><em> <\/em>VI edition of the day <em><a href=\"https:\/\/cinbio.es\/difusion\/novas\/cinbio-promove-a-visibilidade-das-mulleres-cientificas-galegas-na-wikipedia\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/cinbio.es\/difusion\/novas\/cinbio-promove-a-visibilidade-das-mulleres-cientificas-galegas-na-wikipedia\/\">Lack of science in equality: By unha Scientific Wikipedia and galega<\/a> <\/em><\/strong>held at the University of Vigo and that every year seeks to promote a more inclusive and equitable dissemination in science as well as boost the visibility of women scientists. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During this edition, the day focused on the&nbsp;<strong>Wikipedia as an outreach tool<\/strong>, space where the presence of biographies of <strong>STEM Women<\/strong> and the recognition of their contributions remains a minority. The aim was to make women visible in science and research and to promote a gender perspective in communication.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the event, our colleagues <strong>Isabel Zapico and Sabela Cebro presented the Wikisphere experience<\/strong> in reducing knowledge gaps and shared learnings and strategies aimed at achieving a more inclusive and diverse representation of STEM disciplines on Wikipedia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For its part, <strong>Maite Sobrino explained the work of WikiEditoras LX<\/strong> focused on increasing diversity on Wikipedia and increasing representation in content of cis women, trans and non-binary people.
